Continuing the She Built That campaign, the LEGO Group is taking over the London Southbank Centre, offering children a chance to star in a She Built That music video, get free LEGO bricks and enjoy some summer fun.
On August 5 and 6, 2025, the LEGO Group will be taking over the iconic London Southbank Centre as part of its She Built That campaign, encouraging family fun right beside the River Thames. The events will run from 10.00am to 7.00pm each day at and in front of the Southbank Centre. Exact location, time and booking details can be found below.
The LEGO Group’s Southbank Centre takeover will feature two events running cooperatively – the She Built That Music Video Experience and the LEGO Friends Paw-Some Summer Party. Both events are targeted at girls aged between six and twelve, as they are part of the She Built That campaign, an initiative by the LEGO Group to encourage girls to have confidence in their build skills – but any children under the age of 14 are welcome to attend either event.
Both activations are free to attend, but booking in advance is recommended for the She Built That Music Video Experience, as it will take place indoors at Queen Elizabeth Hall. Walk-ins will be welcome, subject to availability. The Friends Paw-Some Summer Party will be outdoors and open all day for everyone.

Guests who attend the She Built That Music Video Experience will get an opportunity to not only dance along to the She Built That music video released earlier this summer but also get to feature in a new music video for the song — one that will be directed by and star kids. Children can learn choreography from ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company before hitting the dancefloor, or they can take on production roles, offering help with directing, styling and more. The video created at the event will then be released for everyone to see.
Dance influencers will be at the scene to help get everyone moving, with Brooke and Jessie, Trend Kids, Starr Kiely and Laurie Elle attending. A free ‘make and take’ build will be available as well, letting children put their own LEGO boombox together.
After taking part in the Music Video Experience, dancers can head outside to the Queen’s Walk to keep the fun going at the LEGO Friends Paw-Some Summer Party and hang out beside the River Thames and the London Eye. Activities here will include hairstyling with glitter and brick braids, a LEGO Friends photobooth and craft stations.
The LEGO Friends Paw-Some Summer Party will run both days, August 5 and 6, at the Queen’s Walk from 10am to 7pm and be open to anyone who happens to stroll by.
The She Built That Music Video Experience will be both days as well, but run at limited times in hour-and-fifteen-minute blocks (you can book free tickets here) at Queen Elizabeth Hall:
- August 5: 1.00pm – 2.15pm, 3.00pm – 4.15pm
- August 6: 10.00am – 11.15am, 11.45am – 1.00pm, 1.30pm – 2.45pm, 3.00pm – 4.15pm
This pair of events form part of the LEGO Group’s new She Built That campaign, which began in June. The campaign has so far involved the She Built That song (a reimagined version of RUN DMC’s It’s Like That), honouring women builders in London and these upcoming events.
