The LEGO Group has a huge presence at EGX / MCM Comic Con’s second 2025 edition, with reveals of new Minecraft sets, the opportunity to play LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, a massive Fortnite mural and more.
EGX and MCM Comic Con (combined as one huge geek culture event) has taken over the Excel Centre in London. The LEGO Group has a huge array of video game related products and activities at the show, allowing attendees to play games, see sets and build with bricks.

As well as presenting the new models, he shared insights into what it takes to design LEGO sets professionally. “I personally design digitally. We have a bespoke 3D program that we use that makes it pretty easy to design digitally,” he told Blocks.
“It’s up to the designer. Some people prefer to build physically. But for instance, if I’m building a function like the ejection of the creaking heart, I’ll take a guess about building it digitally, but then I have to build it physically to make sure it actually works.”
Patient fans who were willing to endure a lengthy queue can try out sample gameplay from LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. In the portion available to play, you can travel around a small area of Gotham City stopping crimes in progress – essentially beating up a gang of villains in a style reminiscent of the Arkham games. Many of the game’s new features are available in the demo, including gliding, grappling and driving the Batmobile. It is due for release in 2026.
For those who prefer to physically click some bricks, there is a large area for building sections of a mosaic. Each attendee can build a square then add it to the main mural, which will eventually create a massive image from LEGO Fortnite.
Another build space is set aside for ‘make and take’ models, where there are instructions for a games controller to build and take home as a memento. The LEGO Group is also giving out DREAMZzz stickers, Batman headbands and Gotham newspapers.
Display cabinets have sets on show to admire, including the upcoming LEGO DC Super Heroes sets that were recently unveiled – 76330 Batman Logo, 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile, 76332 The Batman Batmobile and 76333 Batman & Robin Batmobile. If they tempt you to buy something, a shopping section provides a chance to buy gaming related models.
Finally, fans can pose in a giant Super Mario kart built from LEGO bricks for a fun photo.
As the LEGO Group continues to have a presence at this staple of the gaming calendar, it’s a reminder of just how many franchises are now represented in the brick. EGX will return to London in October 2026.
