LEGO Icons 11380 Road Bike the first ever buildable brick bicycle

The first ever buildable LEGO bicycle set is here, with 11380 Road Bike unveiled for the Icons theme.

A new LEGO adult set has been revealed, focusing on cycling. Minifigure scale bikes have been a mainstay of the LEGO range for years, but the subject has not been released as a large scale set before.

11380 Road Bike uses 1,015 pieces, retails for £109.99 / $129.99 / €119.99 and will launch on June 1.

The set builds a replica scale bike with smooth front-wheel steering and a working pedal-and-chain drive with a freewheel mechanism for coasting. As you put the model together, you’ll construct derailleurs, brake callipers, clipless pedals and a silver-coloured drive chain.

In addition to the core build, the set includes a removable water bottle and rear light. 11380 Road Bike also features a display stand that allows the wheel to spin freely when the pedals are turned.

Typically, Icons offers motor vehicles like 11376 Ford Model T and 10361 Holiday Express Train, making the bicycle really unique in the adult-orientated collection.

Many more new sets have been announced, for City, BrickHeadz, Bluey, Minecraft, Disney, Friends, Fortnite, Harry Potter, NINJAGO and Chinese Festivals.
