LEGO Chinese Festivals is adding two new sets to the collection – 80120 Prosperity Carp Leaping and 80121 Ancient Moon-Gazing Inn.
Two new LEGO Chinese Festival sets are based on different mythological ideas and both will launch on June 1. Usually the series only delivers new sets at the beginning of the year, but 80120 Prosperity Carp Leaping and 80121 Ancient Moon-Gazing Inn add to the 2026 range that already includes 80118 Fortune Firecracker and 80119 Galloping Horse Canvas.
These models are enduring symbols with a historical basis rather inspired by seasonal celebrations, so are suitable for display all year round.

80120 Prosperity Carp Leaping recreates the symbol of transformation and success. it features the fish dramatically jumping over a dragon gate. It’s inspired by the traditional Chinese legend, ‘The carp leaps over the dragon gate’, in which the carp swim upstream to jump over a waterfall in the Yellow River to transform into dragons. Not all the carp were able to complete the task and the story symbolises perseverance and achieving success. It is considered especially in exams and work promotions.
The set builds a dragon gate (or longmen) and three carp trying to compete in the water. Turning a handle will make the red and yellow carp leap over the gate, earning the gift of being transformed into dragons by the Jade Emperor.

Build 80121 Ancient Moon-Gazing Inn to recreate stories from the Song Dynasty of ancient China. It features two bedrooms, a restaurant, and a teahouse connected by a bridge. You can lift the roof to reveal the upper levels and historic decor inside. Outside there is a small well, a travelling cart for the merchant and foliage for the horse to graze upon. The set’s minifigures include Su Dongpo, a farmer, businessman, and more.
For those unfamiliar with Su Dongpo (also known as Su Shi), he was a famous poet, essayist, calligrapher, scholar, artist and even pharmacologist during the Song Dynasty. His most renowned works are his poems At Red Cliff, Cherishing the Past and Prelude to the Water Melody, all inspired by his love of natural landscapes, especially those within Huangzhou.
