Fredrik Loving is the new Global Head of LEGO GAME

Fredrik Loving has been appointed as the new LEGO GAME Senior Vice President and Global Head, giving him oversight over the LEGO Group’s digital experiences including LEGO Fortnite.

The LEGO Group has announced the appointment of Fredrik Loving as the new Senior Vice President and Global Head of LEGO GAME. This is as part of the company’s drive to expand the LEGO Group’s presence within digital spaces and gaming. As the company continues to collaborate with industry leading development studios to pioneer exclusive titles, the intent seems to be for more LEGO inspired games to reach consoles, PCs and mobile devices than ever before.

Fredrik has more than 20 years of experience in the gaming industry, having overseen development of the Battlefield franchise – the highly successful shooter by EA DICE – and was on the board of Angry Birds developer Rovio.

“I am honoured to join the LEGO Group, a brand I have admired for many years and loved since childhood – a brand that continues to evolve and engage its audience in new and creative ways,” he says. “This is an incredibly exciting time to join the LEGO GAME team as we continue to innovate and offer new, best-in-class digital play experiences for our audiences.”

“His extensive experience and network, combined with his passion and creativity make him an exceptional fit to lead the LEGO GAME team,” adds Chief Product & Marketing Officer Julia Goldin. “Fredrik will be instrumental in shaping and delivering fun, positive and safe experiences, by fostering existing partnerships and exploring new opportunities that expand the LEGO Group’s digital presence.”

This innovation is part of the LEGO Group’s continued expansion into new gaming formats and genres. LEGO Fortnite is frequently adding new Islands that offer different styles of gameplay, whether it’s the thrilling survival of LEGO Fortnite: Odyssey or the laid back cosiness of LEGO Brick Life. The latest update added LEGO Fortnite Expeditions, a multiplayer mode that allows players to choose a hero class and battle enemies across Supernova Academy.

While LEGO and Fortnite have a long-running collaboration, LEGO GAME is also bringing two new titles later this year to a range of consoles, including the Nintendo Switch 2. LEGO Party! challenges you to go up against your friends in over 60 mini-games filled with action and fun, then LEGO Voyagers takes a slightly slower pace in a co-operative game focused on puzzle-solving and platforming.

LEGO Party! is available to preorder now and will release on December 31, 2025. LEGO Voyagers is aiming for a release date later this year.
