31171 Wild Animals: Majestic Rhino with Birds is going to be the next LEGO Creator wild animals set, offering builders the option of a rhino, hippo or walrus.
LEGO Creator has a new animal set coming this summer. Releasing on August 1, 2025, 31171 Wild Animals: Majestic Rhino with Birds will include 780 pieces and be priced at £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99.
The Wild Animals collection has become a significant slice of the LEGO Creator 3in1 catalogue in recent years. While not part of the collection by name, 31129 Majestic Tiger helped to spur interest in these brick-built animal sets and the Wild Animals subtheme then started to crop up with sets like 31165 Wild Animals: Panda Family. And now on August 1, 31171 Wild Animals: Majestic Rhino with Birds is joining the collection.
A rhino is of course the main attraction, using the bulk of the set’s 780 pieces. A few are left out of the rhino itself to make a handful of birds, a snail and a small patch of terrain and water. The rhino itself makes good use of sloped and curved elements to capture the natural shaping of the animal, which has grown to be a staple of the Creator 3in1 animals — no matter the subject, the LEGO version is almost guaranteed to do right by it.
Alternate builds this time around will be a hippo and a walrus; the former feels geographically relevant while the latter must be visiting on holiday. The hippo, also being a large, grey animal, has a similar vibe to the rhino but obviously forgoes the horns in favour of some teeth best left alone. The walrus is the smallest build, so you’ll have a good chunk of pieces left over after building this one.

31171 Wild Animals: Majestic Rhino with Birds will release on August 1 alongside tons of other LEGO Creator 3in1 sets. Also joining the Wild Animals collection is 31173 Wild Animals: Tropical Toucan, whose primary model is a cute little toucan munching on a watermelon treat. And 31166 Beautiful Horse doesn’t get the Wild Animals title, but it would certainly feel right at home next to any of the other sets.
Outside of the Creator animals bubble, 31167 Haunted Mansion and 31168 Medieval Horse Knight Castle will also release on August 1, offering fans another relatively affordable castle option and a respectable alternative to paying hefty aftermarket prices for 10228 Haunted House.
