F1 action at the LEGO Group’s British Grand Prix watch party

Londoners can enjoy watching the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Battersea Power Station as part of the LEGO Group’s watch party.

Throughout 2025, the LEGO Group has partnered with Formula 1 and delivered sets across themes including Icons, Technic, Speed Champions, City and Duplo, very much like last year’s cross-brand Space theme. For the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the LEGO Group is the main sponsor.

For those who don’t have tickets for the actual race, the LEGO Group has set up a watch party at Battersea Power Station on the River Thames. Londoners can visit for free to watch the race today, Sunday, July 6.

A giant screen is set up so all of the action from Silverstone can come live. There are colourful deck chairs to sit on and LEGO brick content playing to keep people occupied while they wait for the race to begin.

There’s more to do than just watch the race – there’s a full festival of activities to get involved with. Visitors can try out digital building instructions, get a photo with a DUPLO trophy prop, try reporting one the race for Sky News and test their reflexes. There are also build opportunities including a speed build of 71049 F1 Race Cars and a make and take of a steering wheel.

A few months ago in Miami, the LEGO Group unveiled actual drivable brick replicas of the entire F1 lineup – and the McLaren is at Battersea Power Station in person so that watch party attendees can see the incredible car that the team physically got behind the wheel of.

If you participate in multiple activities and get the event card stamped, then there’s a free poster to collect from the LEGO Store inside Battersea Power Station. Surprises are promised to keep coming throughout the day.
