2025 F1 British Grand Prix winners get LEGO brick trophies

The LEGO Group and Formula 1 handed out trophies made of LEGO bricks to the top three drivers at the 2025 British Grand Prix, including a golden 2,717-piece trophy to the winner, Lando Norris.

The 2025 British Grand Prix was capped off by trophies made of LEGO bricks — a part of the continued collaboration between the LEGO Group and Formula 1.

Formula 1 is celebrating its 75th anniversary season this year – and the LEGO Group is helping to make it one to remember. The British Grand Prix takes place at Silverstone Circuit, the same place where the first ever Formula 1 World Championship was held in 1950. To mark the anniversary race on such hallowed ground, the LEGO Group created three brick-built trophies to present to the top three finishers.

LEGO Designer Manager Samuel Johnson had the honour of designing the LEGO brick version of the iconic trophies, taking inspiration from the Royal Automobile Club (RAC) trophy. A team of seven builders then assembled the trophies at the LEGO Group’s model shop in Billund, Denmark, over the course of 210 hours. A significant number of elements were chromed in the process of creating the trophies!

The first place and constructors’ trophies both measure an impressive 59cm tall, with the second- and third-place trophies measuring at 43cm. Each have their fair share of dazzling LEGO elements in gold and silver, with plenty of dark blue for the constructors’ trophy.

“At this year’s British Grand Prix, we wanted to do something truly unique to celebrate a major anniversary, as well as surprise and delight builders around the world,” says LEGO Chief Product & Marketing Officer Julia Goldin. “The legacy of Silverstone is incredible, and we hope fans are inspired by these unique trophy builds that demonstrate how starting with just one LEGO element, there are limitless possibilities to what you can create.”

“It’s been fantastic to work with the LEGO Group on developing really creative and engaging moments to drive interest and curiosity in both our existing and new fans and to inject some additional fun into such a celebratory moment as the trophy presentation,” adds Formula 1 Chief Commercial Officer Emily Prazer.

The LEGO brick trophies were presented after the official British Grand Prix golden trophy, so McLaren Formula 1 Team’s Lando Norris got doubly rewarded for his performance in the race. His teammate Oscar Piastri received the second-place trophy and KICK Sauber Formula 1 Team’s Nico Hulkenberg took home the third-place prize.

This is the latest result of the collaboration between the LEGO Group and Formula 1 for the 75th anniversary season. The collaboration has already yielded functioning brick-built cars at the Miami Grand Prix, a watch party for the British Grand Prix in London and, of course, plenty of LEGO sets from Icons, Speed Champions, Technic and City.
