LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort in Germany will introduce the first-ever LEGO Harry Potter land and hotel, inviting fans into a blocky Wizarding World experience. Details remain sparse, with more information expected in 2026. The collaboration between Merlin Entertainments and Warner Bros. includes plans to create immersive experiences for Harry Potter fans globally.
The LEGO Group is set to acquire all LEGOLAND Discovery Centres worldwide from Merlin Entertainments, who had owned and operated the attractions since their inception in 2007. This acquisition will bring LEGOLAND Discovery Centres under direct control of the LEGO Group, while LEGOLAND Resorts will remain with Merlin Entertainments. Both companies are owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family.
LEGOLAND California and Florida Resorts are getting new space-themed experiences in 2026. Both parks are adding space lands to their roster next year, including indoor rollercoasters and other intergalactic attractions for guests to explore the world of space through LEGO bricks.
The largest LEGOLAND park has opened in Shanghai. The new park is the first-ever LEGOLAND Resort in China. LEGOLAND Shanghai is home to exclusive experiences and shopping opportunities, including a LEGO Monkie Kid live show and merch store.
To cap off celebrations of World Play Day on June 11, the LEGO Group donated over 14,000 LEGOLAND Billund tickets to international charities and nonprofits serving children and families in need. Tickets were donated based on completed "play pacts" handed in by children in LEGOLAND Parks across the world.
