The LEGO Technic Ultimate Car Concept Series is continuing with 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear Megacar, a detailed replica of the actual car at 1:8 scale.
LEGO Technic is known for impressive, detailed models of real-life cars, but the finest sets tend to be reserved for the Ultimate Car Concept Series. 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear Megacar is the latest model in that collection, designed to be beautiful on display but also packed with functions.
The set is made up of 4,104 pieces and retails for £399.99 / $449.99 / €449.99. When built, it measures 59cm long and 28cm wide. It will be available to buy from July 1 at LEGO.com.
What’s more, anyone who orders the set between July 1 and July 6 will get 40894 Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear Steering Wheel for free. The bonus set is made up of 228 pieces and features a nifty function that keeps the speedometer level when you turn the wheel.

Delivered in an elegant box, 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear Megacar features an authentic V8 piston engine, a functional 9-speed transmission, a unique Triplex front, working steering, a removable roof, rear suspension and a new rotating gear indicator disc.
The working ‘Ghost Mode’ function raises the rear clam, rotates the signature dihedral synchro-helix doors and front hood and folds the mirrors with a single movement, just like the actual megacar.
“Our ambition was to create the most advanced LEGO Technic build we’ve ever produced,” says Technic Senior Model Designer Kasper Rene Hansen. “Incorporating features such as a working Ghost Mode, a 9-speed sequential gearbox and the unique Triplex suspension system – all firsts for a Technic Ultimate model – pushed the boundaries of what’s possible.
“We hope this set captures the spirit and technical sophistication of the Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear, while delivering a rewarding experience for builders. This set really embodies the philosophy of LEGO Technic – build for real!”
The set marks 10 years of the Ultimate Car Concept Series, which is made up of 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, 42083 Bugatti Chiron, 42115 Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3 and 42172 McLaren P1.
To mark the unveiling of the new set, a life-sized driveable version set a new record for the fastest LEGO Technic big build car ever.
