LEGO NINJAGO is offering a new spin on a classic concept as battling spinners return to the theme in 2027.
Two new LEGO NINJAGO Dragons’ Fury sets, 71873 Cole vs. Evil Cole Spinner and 71875 Lloyd vs. Ras Spinner Battle, reveal new spinners that will bring back classic Spinjitzu battling in 2027. The two new sets will debut on January 1, 2027.
When NINJAGO debuted, the theme presented children with fun Spinjitzu competitive play as well as traditional building. Over the years, the concept has been resurrected several times and in 2027 there will be new spinner sets to collect. You place a minifigure on the spinner, then hit the button to send them spinning into battle.
71873 Cole vs. Evil Cole Spinner
Pieces: 58
Price: £8.99 / $9.99 / €9.99
71873 Cole vs. Evil Cole Spinner gives a hint about the 2027 storyline as it includes an Evil Cole minifigure. Send a character into battle and see the detachable cover fly off as the spinner clashes with an obstacle or enemy. To make the spinner work, you use the launcher, which does require a bit of building. Cole also comes with a buildable weapon.

71875 Lloyd vs. Ras Spinner Battle
Pieces: 153
Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99
This set provides everything you need for a battle – two spinners, two minifigures and bricks to build two launchers plus a funky decorative column. Lloyd and Ras are the two characters in the set ready to battle.
You use the bricks in 71875 Lloyd vs. Ras Spinner Battle to build the launchers for the spinners, plus a decorative column that uses head and wing components originally designed for dragon models. It looks to be a clever repurposing.
