After a 14 year absence, SpongeBob Squarepants is back in the brick as the LEGO Group announces 11386 SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom and 40858 SpongeBob SquarePants Figure.
Two new LEGO SpongeBob Squarepants sets are on the way – 11386 SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom and 40858 SpongeBob SquarePants Figure. They celebrate the animated character and the surreal world he inhabits. Both will be available from September 1.
11386 SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom is made up of 1,794 pieces and will retail for £189.99 / $219.99 / €209.99

The set builds SpongeBob’s pineapple home with a living room and bedroom; Squidward’s house with a living room, bedroom, bathroom and rooftop lounge; Patrick’s rock with a detailed interior; and a Jellyfish Fields scene. The set includes a selection of minifigures – SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star and Squidward Tentacles, Gary the Snail and DoodleBob.
There are references within the model to classic moments from the show including the boatmobile, Squidward’s clarinet and music stand and a portrait of Gary, plus lots of surprises.
40858 SpongeBob SquarePants Figure is part of the BrickHeadz collection, uses 72 pieces and will retail for £10.99 / $12.99 / €12.99. Like other sets in the long running theme it takes the strange but beloved character and adapted him in a blocky format.
