The latest edition of Blocks, the LEGO magazine for fans, is packed with exclusives – including an interview with LEGO Vice President of Design Matthew Ashton about his new Pride inspired set, 40516 Everyone is Awesome.
Blocks magazine Issue 80 is available now as a single issue or as part of a subscription – it will be in UK shops from May 6. To mark the new edition we’re giving away five 76182 Batman Cowl sets to subscribers.
Issue 80 coincides with the launch of the entire Blocks digital back catalogue, which is now free for all print subscribers. That archive contains every magazine we’ve ever published, including the rare pilot edition and Issue 1.
As well as insightful and moving interview with Matthew about the first set he’s designed in years, we learn more about the television show that made him a household name. LEGO Masters Executive Producer Steph Harris teases the second US season and explains how it went from a UK show on Channel 4 to a global success story.

We’ve not forgotten about the crowd-pleasing Looney Tunes Collectible Minifigures and we’ve got all-new, specially photographed images to illustrate our interview with Jerry Beck. He’s an animation historian who tells us how the Looney Tunes came about and why everyone loves Bugs Bunny.
As for build tips and tricks, we reveal how LEGO Monkie Kid 80024 The Legendary Flower Fruit Mountain can be transformed into an Islanders paradise. Over in the Technique section there are tips and tricks for putting together vegetable patches and there’s also a look at winning entries from the Brick Train Awards, as some of the winners discuss their LEGO locomotives.
This is just a taste of what’s in store within the 116 pages, which also include regulars like Reviews, Ideas Showcase, Month in MOCs, This LEGO Life, From the Vault, LUG Spotlight along with a run-down of the new summer sets.
