LEGO Wednesday will offer two new sets on October 1 – 76787 Wednesday Backpack and 76788 Nevermore Academy. The latter includes the first Wednesday Addams minifigure.

76787 Wednesday Backpack is made up of 401 pieces and will retail for £34.99 / $44.99 / €39.99. 76788 Nevermore Academy consists of 890 pieces and will retail for £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99.

76787 Wednesday Backpack

The set builds Wednesday Addams’s iconic backpack, which is decorated in her signature black and grey stripes to match her school uniform. You can open up the top of the model to reveal a miniature dorm room that contains Wednesday’s desk where she can type her novel and Thing with his travelling case.

Interior decorations include the colourful stained glass window, Wednesday’s cello, a raven painting as an ode to the school’s founder and Edith’s rainbow coloured curtains. Another opening on the front reveals a storage space that can be used for small trinkets or items, while deadly nightshade flowers run up the side of the backpack. 76787 Wednesday Backpack comes with an exclusive mini-doll of Wednesday Addams accompanied by Thing and his travelling trunk accessory.

76788 Nevermore Academy

This microscale set builds the iconic school for outcasts with mysteries hidden within its walls, featuring an open back with a dorm room, principal’s office, clock tower and music room. It is reminiscent of the smaller scale Disney locations that have been part of that theme.

76788 Nevermore Academy also features the first-ever Wednesday Addams minifigure to display alongside the model, plus micro figures of Wednesday and Enid Sinclair to add to Nevermore Academy as the two try to uncover secrets in between attending class. When they’re not practising seances or wolfing out, the two characters can be stored in a drawer within the base of the model.

The two new sets add to the collection that already includes 76785 Thing’s Apartment, 76784 Black Dahlia Flower and 76786 Morticia’s Cottage.

LEGO Wednesday is inspired by the streaming series that is available on Netflix. It follows Wednesday Addams as she tries to solve murders and uncover the hidden mysteries that plague the haunted halls of Nevermore Academy. She’s joined by her werewolf room mate, Edith Sinclair, and the friends the pair make at the school.

As if that were not enough to deal with, Wednesday is learning to control her powerful psychic abilities and Edith is battling with the possibility of being a lone alpha wolf. Season 3 is currently in production and will seemingly take place – at least partially – in Paris. It is expected to stream next year.
