Sten Schmidt, former Senior Element Coach at the LEGO Group, passed away on July 17, 2025. During his 42-year career, he significantly influenced LEGO Technic by designing the 8865 Test Car and developing the essential Technic beam. His contributions went far beyond Technic and he leaves behind a lasting legacy.
