A surprising new LEGO BrickHeadz set has been announced, with 404548 Spice Girls Tribute Set offering the 1990s band in a box.
For the first time, the LEGO Group will release real people as a BrickHeadz set in 404548 Spice Girls Tribute Set. To celebrate the launch, Rankin has shot the little LEGO characters in the same way he shot the Spice Girls back in the 1990s.
As you’d expect, the set builds Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria – Baby, Ginger, Scary, Sporty and Posh Spice – the full line-up of the band behind Wannabe, Two Become One, Viva Forever and other critically claimed hits.
According to the LEGO Group’s press release, the set is ‘giving fans the chance to add a little People Power to their homes’ – but if that’s so, shouldn’t the set be called Spice People?

‘There are few bands that defined pop culture in the same way the Spice Girls did back in the 1990s, and it’s been such fun bringing the band to life in our BrickHeadz style,’ says LEGO Designer Daniel Squirrell. ‘This is the first time we have created a music band in BrickHeadz form and what we really, really wanted was to capture the essence and nostalgia of the Spice Girls, through their iconic looks. I am delighted with the set and I hope the fans are too.’
