Design Master Mike Psiaki was tasked with taking the iconic Titanic and turning into a big, impressive and replicable LEGO set. It was quite a – wait for it – titanic task, yet the design pro rose to the challenge. In an exclusive interview, he explains his thinking in terms of size, part uses and build flow.

There’s also insight into how 21330 Home Alone came to be, with not only the LEGO professional designers but also the fan designer, Alex Storozhuk. If it’s not a set for you, the feature provides a nice taste of what it’s all about, and if you’re building it, you’ll appreciate the process all the more.

Daniel Konstanki has always wanted to own 6597 Century Skyway, a classic Town airport. When he had the chance to buy a copy though, it was in a bad way. Peeling stickers, yellowed parts, smoke smell and all manner of problems meant it needed some real restoration. He walks through the process with some great tips for bringing old sets back to their former glory.
