Newly announced LEGO Pokémon sets include Pikachu and Eevee minifigures

LEGO Pokémon keeps growing with a new batch of sets that will include three Pokémon Trainer minifigures, a Zinnia minifigure, plus sculpted Pikachu and Eevee figures that are similar to how LEGO Disney has represented characters like Eeyore.

Five new sets are coming throughout the rest of the year – 72150 Munchlax, 72160 Arcanine, 72168 Rayquaza, 72154 Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball and 40868 Up-Scaled Red Minifigure.

Unlike the recently announced LEGO SMART Play sets, these models are more focused on display and intended for older builders.

72154 Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball

Pieces: 2,339
Price: £229.99 / $299.99 / €249.99
Release date: October 1

A Poké Ball is at the very core of Pokémon and this set focuses on that iconic item. The brick-built Poké Ball can open to reveal key moments from a Pokémon Trainer’s journey that are constructed and housed inside. There is a battle scene, Professor Oak’s laboratory and grasslands to discover ‘mon in.

Perhaps most anticipated of all are the set’s characters – Professor Oak, Picnicker and Red as minifigures, plus Pikachu and Eevee as unique sculpted and decorated figures.

This Normal-type Pokémon is more than 18cm tall. 72150 Munchlax features a decorated element to capture the eyes and teeth. As well as building the creature itself, the set builds a tree stump base for it to sit on. Munchlax is known for its enormous appetite and evolves into Snorlax.
