Construction is currently underway at LEGOLAND Billund Resort on a new roller coaster that’s coming in 2026 – Minifigure Speedway.
Minifigure Speedway will be the newest attraction at LEGOLAND Billund Resort in 2026. The duelling coaster promises to have ‘impressive LEGO theming and a lively backstory that will entertain guests from the moment they get in line until the ride is over.’
The attraction is already open at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, where it features giant minifigures and fun props around the outdoor track. The concept behind the coaster is that there are two teams – team Legends and team All Stars, who each race for first place with their own minifigure captain.
Corn Cob Guy and Banana Guy are the two team captains, who each prefer their own type of fuel – popcorn and banana juice, respectively.

“The special thing about Minifigure Speedway is its duelling element, which makes it unique compared to other roller coasters,” says LEGOLAND Billund Director Michael Ottesen. “Here, our guests can look forward to challenging each other or settling a good bet, because it is never possible to predict which team will cross the finish line first.”
The ride will be located between Knights’ Kingdom and Adventure Land with a height of almost 17 metres – so it will be interesting to see how it fits in with those themed areas of the park.

Nine metre tall minifigure Roxie will be the statue that welcomes guests to the ride, as she is ‘the wildest Minifigure Speedway racer ever in LEGO history.’ Now retired, the character will host the races that take place every day.
“The Roxie Minifigure will be a fantastic addition to the entire universe surrounding Minifigure Speedway,” adds Michael. “She will tower over the area, so that our guests cannot help but notice her from a long, long distance. With her size, she will also be a spectacular sight for passengers traveling to and from Billund Airport. I am certainly looking forward to welcoming her to the park.”
Construction is underway so that the attraction opens for the 2026 season.
