To coincide with the release of 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine, the LEGO Ideas set full of retro minifigures, the LEGO.com’s Minifigure Factory has added new torso designs – including Paradisa and Fabuland.
21358 Minifigure Vending Machine was announced with a whole host of new LEGO minifigures inspired by classic themes such as Fabuland, Paradisa, Castle, Space and Pirates.
Minifigure Factory is the service available in select territories on LEGO.com that allows fans to design a custom minifigure torso. You can freestyle it or use pre-designed graphics. Many of the suggested icons and torso are influenced by classic retro LEGO minifigures.
Now though, to tie in with 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine, Fabuland and Paradisa logos have been added to the service, so you can add them to your custom minifigures. It’s a way to put more minifigures into the new gumball dispenser style model.
Fabuland launched in 1989 and provided children with a Sylvanian Families type world of charming anthropomorphic animal characters who went about their day to day lives in a whimsical town. Paradisa launched in 1992 and depicted an idyllic beachside resort, where everyone is on vacation every day. Neither has the popularity of Space or Castle, but both are beloved by LEGO fans who grew up with them.
For 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine, Graphic Designer Nathan Davis came up with a way to incorporate the Paradisa and Fabuland logos on two new minifigures torsos. “Wouldn’t it be cool if you got a Fabuland-branded hoodie?” he said when discussing the design process.

Those same logos are now being used by Minifigure Factory. Here is what is available for the themes;

It will be easy to get carried away with so much choice – especially as there are also new designs inspired by the Castle Kraken and Griffin factions, Space and Pirates.
