LEGOLAND Water Park opens at Gardaland Resort

Italy’s Gardaland Resort is reopening on June 15 with the Europe’s first LEGOLAND Water Park.

Gardaland Resort, located in the north of Italy, has been closed as a result of regulations to combat the pandemic – but now it’s reopening with a brand new LEGO attraction, Europe’s first LEGOLAND Water Park. The €20 million water park is entirely themed with upscaled LEGO decorations.

As well as water based activities, the new attraction is home to a Miniland featuring Italian monuments, including the Cathedral of Milan, the Colosseum and St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice. There’s also the Tower of Pisa, the Albero di Prezzemolo, Fuga da Atlantide and Gardaland Magic Hotel.

‘We are very happy to finally welcome our guests and be able to offer them days of fun and leisure once again,’ said Aldo Maria Vigevani, Managing Director of Gardaland. ‘LEGOLAND Water Park Gardaland, the first LEGOLAND® Water Park in Europe and the fifth in the world, awaits its visitors with highly anticipated developments.’

Floating bricks allow guests to modify their inflatable boats as they travel around the LEGO River Adventure, while LEGO Creation Island is a place to build a boat with LEGO bricks or decorate a massive sandcastle. Seven slides make the Beach Party area a spot for fast thrills for all ages. For smaller visitors, there’s DUPLO Splash with a smaller pool and slides.

For shopping, there’s a LEGOLAND Shop and for dining, there’s the Harbour Restaurant.

During the 2021 season, Gardaland will be restricting daily park entrance numbers, requiring guests to book in advance and enforcing a mandatory mask policy.
