LEGO Star Wars UCS 75442 The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter revealed

The 2026 May the Fourth LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set has been revealed: 75442 The Mandalorians N-1 Starfighter, a timely release ahead of The Mandalorian & Grogu movie.

75442 The Mandalorians N-1 Starfighter is going to be the next LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) set, inspired by The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

LEGO Star Wars 75442 The Mandalorians N-1 Starfighter will come with 1,809 pieces, 2 minifigures and retail for £229.99 / $249.99 / €249.99. It will launch on May 1 at LEGO.com.

The set is releasing to coincide with Star Wars Day (May the Fourth be with you), a fan-created holiday that the LEGO Group has been celebrating for nearly two decades. One of the staples has been the release of a new Ultimate Collector Series set on the day, which 75442 The Mandalorians N-1 Starfighter has covered. The other tradition is the gift-with-purchase extras, which this year include a special Mandalorian & Grogu display and a brick-built Darksaber. More on those further down.

75442 The Mandalorians N-1 Starfighter comes with 1,809 pieces — a significant step up from 75325 The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter’s 412. The UCS model also has a significantly larger footprint than the play scale version, measuring 19cm (7.5in) high, 44cm (17.5in) long and 39cm (15.5in) wide.

The main attraction for fans in terms of the set’s construction should be the use of drum lacquered silver elements towards the front of the ship. Shiny LEGO bricks are always welcome and have become increasingly rare since the retirement of chrome elements like those used on 10026 Naboo Starfighter. These won’t quite look like the chrome on the old Naboo version of the ship, but they will be shinier than your average bunch of LEGO bricks.

Beyond the drum lacquered elements, sleek is the name of the game with the new model. Slopes and tiles make up a great deal of the surface area, accurately representing the sophistication of an N-1. There are some exposed studs for a bit of texture, along with just enough greebling for some extra detail.

Like most UCS ships, this N-1 is well above minifigure scale, so the well-detailed cockpit isn’t going to do minifigure Din Djarin much good, even if it is nice to look at. Mandalorian and Baby Yoda figures thus get a place on the display stand beside the information plaque, which specifies Grogu as part of the crew.

Those who purchase the model between May 1 – 6 will be treated to two gifts-with-purchase: one specific to the set and one for automatically meeting a purchase threshold.

The set-exclusive GWP is a ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu Display.’ This isn’t a set; it instead features a lenticular “film strip” image of Mando and Grogu in the N-1 that comes in a decorative box with a display stand.

Fans hoping for a more traditional May 4th promo will likely be more interested in 40917 The Darksaber. The 278-piece model replicates the hilt of the infamous weapon and will be available with purchases over £145 / $160 / €160.

75442 The Mandalorians N-1 Starfighter will release on May 1 for LEGO Insiders members. It’s free to sign up — and if you’re doing your shopping on LEGO.com you probably should — so the May 4 official release is more symbolic than anything. Sets based on The Mandalorian & Grogu will have hit shelves by then, too, for those looking to build their collection before the film premieres on May 22.
