As the theme continues to experiment with new formats, LEGO Star Wars is launching 75455 Boba Fett and depicting the iconic Mandalorian-armour clad bounty hunter at a new scale.
Star Wars fans have been busy this year, with new sets inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu in addition to a whole collection of SMART Play sets based on the classic trilogy. In a completely different style to those minifigure scale sets, 75455 Boba Fett builds the iconic character as a statue for display.
75455 Boba Fett is made up of 1,544 pieces, retails for £149.99 / $169.99 and will launch on August 1.

Eagle-eyed Star Wars fans will notice that the character is based on his appearance on Return of the Jedi rather The Empire Strikes Back, with his more colourful take on the Mandalorian armour. The bounty hunter build features his jetpack and a fabric cape, plus a blaster to hold.
The head, arms and hands can be adjusted for different poses. It’s very similar to the format that Marvel used for 76344 Iron Man Mark 3 Collectors’ Edition, where the character is essentially presented as a display model but with a little posability, in contrast to the recently launched 76346 Spider-Man Hero Figure.
Boba Fett’s stand depicts sandy terrain, implying he is on Tatooine. The set also includes a display plaque and Boba Fett minifigure. In the contextual images, the minifigure has blue arms – but that is incorrect, the LEGO Group advises, and the white/black background images show the little character accurately.
75455 Boba Fett comes shortly after 75461 Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure and 75439 Darth Vader Bust, two new formats for the theme, suggesting that the designers are experimenting with different types of builds to see what fans want the most.
