An enormous new LEGO location set has been unveiled ahead of its release on May 26. The newspaper offices where Spider-Man alter ego Peter Parker makes a living, overseen by J Jonah Jameson, are created with almost 4,000 pieces in 76178 Daily Bugle.
The towering office block is the scene of an epic confrontation between Spider-Man’s allies and many Marvel villains. Details include an entrance that can be destroyed to look like an explosion has taken place, the newsroom packed with computers, a smashable window, Betty Brant’s office and J. Jonah Jameson’s office.
In an upcoming issue of Blocks, the LEGO magazine for fans, we’ll be sharing our review of the set as well as insights from the LEGO designer who created it. To get the latest edition – and every subsequent issue – ahead of the shops, take out a subscription.

‘I was seven years old when I was given my first Spider-Man comic and I have always had an image of creating a LEGO model of the Daily Bugle and having Spidey and his Amazing Friends in conflict with his various enemies,’ said LEGO Designer Mark John Stafford. ‘One of my favourite elements is the Green Goblin flying inside the building through the window. Being able to design a moment of frozen action like this in a LEGO set has always been a dream and I finally got to make it happen.’
