Make sure you are signed up for a subscription to the monthly LEGO magazine and you could be in with a chance of winning the set, with the box signed by Master Builder Stuart Harris and Senior Model Designer Markus Rollbühler, the duo who worked on the design.

You’ll also find a deep-dive into both the history of Fabuland and the model design process in Issue 126, so make sure you are subscribed before March so you don’t miss it. The feature includes sketch models and prototype pictures, showing the development process from start to finish.

Just like classic LEGO Fabuland sets, 40506 A Fabuland Tribute includes illustrations that tell a story tied in with the model. In the tale, the four characters receive an invitation to visit LEGO House in Billund – and Joe Crow is ready with his aeroplane to make sure he and his friends can get there.

“It’s truly one of the highlights of my year, seeing what Stuart and the team of historians bring forward as the annual LEGO House Exclusive product.” says Kathrine Kirk Muff, Managing Director at LEGO House. You can read an interview with Kathrine in Issue 124 of the monthly LEGO magazine.

“This year, we’re paying tribute to the history of storytelling with the Fabuland exclusive product. Creating stories is at the core of LEGO House, and celebrating the most iconic moments in time throughout the LEGO Group’s history is key to the concept of our exclusive products. On a personal note, I played a lot with the original Fabuland sets and I am filled with nostalgia and excitement to see my childhood memories being brought back to life.

“Creating that unique keepsake for our guests that travel from across the globe to be here, in the form of an exclusive product, is a crucial part of the full LEGO House offering for fans and something they can continue to build at home, keeping the memories alive”.

In addition to the new set, LEGO House is opening a Fabuland themed display in the History Collection and Stewart Lamb Cromar’s unique steam liner can be found in World Explorer.
