LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 sets going up for preorder

The five finalist sets from the BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 are going up for preorder – read on to find out what new models are coming and when you can get them.

Fans will have the opportunity to show their support for their favourite models from Series 5 of the BrickLink Designer Program when preorders go live on June 10, 2025, at 4pm BST / 11am EST.

The preorder stage is also known as the crowdfunding stage — models need at least 3,000 preorders to guarantee a production run. Preorders will be open for all five models, but it is unclear if they will close. In the past, there is a cap of 30,000 boxes per set… but this time, BrickLink had removed the cap, but without explaining if there is any limit. There will be a time limit though and all orders must be in before June 24, 12.00pm Pacific time.

BrickLink Designer Program is essentially an even more fan centric take on LEGO Ideas. Users on the site vote for their favourite sets, with the five finalists advancing to the preorder stage. The key difference between LEGO Ideas and the BrickLink Designer Program is that the BrickLink sets don’t go through official LEGO designers — whatever fan design is voted for will be refined by the fan with expert support. This leads the BrickLink Designer Program to offering much larger sets at surprisingly affordable prices. While the scheme has shown fan passion for all things LEGO Castle, Series 5 has a nice showing for non-Castle and lower priced sets.

910052 Popcorn Wagon

A colorful LEGO model of a popcorn wagon with a vendor serving customers, complete with minifigures, flowers, and a street lamp.

The smallest of the Series 5 sets, Mictur’s 910052 Popcorn Wagon is a quaint, 594-piece model priced at $54.99. The build is as-described, primarily featuring a popcorn wagon ready to serve its eager customers some freshly popped treats. The strengths of the BrickLink Designer Program really shine through with this model; the wagon gets to sit on a full sidewalk complete with planters and a lamppost — both things that likely would be left out of a traditional LEGO set.

910050 Antique Shop

A detailed LEGO model of a two-storey antique shop with a sloped roof, surrounded by greenery, a small truck, and five minifigures engaging outside.

Another cosy build, ThatOneGuySteve’s 910050 Antique Shop comes with 1,918 pieces and costs $149.99. The shop is a two-storey building with pointed roof and comes covered in plenty of foliage. The building comes apart in typical modular fashion, revealing the shop on the ground floor and living space for the owners above. A small truck is included to make a fuller scene, and the six minifigures ensure the shop will have plenty of patrons.

910051 Mushroom Village

A whimsical LEGO model of a mushroom village, featuring colorful buildings, a large flower, and various plant elements. The scene includes several minifigures engaged in different activities around the fantasy setting.

JonasKramm’s 910051 Mushroom Village is perhaps the most fantastical of the Series 5 sets, coming in with 2,436 pieces, 7 minifigures and a price of $209.99. The village primarily features two buildings — one built into a mushroom and another that seems to favour flowers. And there’s more than enough plants dotted around the model to make it feel like a proper fantasy woodland wonderland. It’s constructed in a dollhouse style, so the back of the model is open to allow access to the fun interior spaces.

910053 The Thieves of Tortuga

A detailed view of the LEGO set 'The Thieves of Tortuga', showcasing two connected buildings with cobbled streets, palm trees, and various minifigures engaging in activities around a pirate hangout.

910053 The Thieves of Tortuga, designed by Krackenator, sees a significant jump in piece count and price — 4,002 pieces for $339.99. The model feels like a worthy companion to 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay, if a more civilised pirate hangout is what you’re looking for. The cobbled streets set the mood for the model brilliantly, and the many different buildings, while small, create an excellent sense of place and make Tortuga feel like it’s a bustling pirate hub. Dollhouse style is once again the name of the game here, with the backs of the buildings left open. A bridge connects the two halves of the model, but can be removed to help this large set fit on more shelves.

910049 Adventure in Transylvania

A detailed LEGO model of a haunted mansion featuring gothic architecture, dark colors, and autumnal foliage. The scene includes several minifigures, including a character with a pumpkin and a chef, creating an eerie yet whimsical atmosphere.

If pirates aren’t quite your speed, perhaps a trip to SleeplessNight’s 910049 Adventure in Transylvania would be a better choice. It just beats out The Thieves of Tortuga as the largest set from Series 5, with 4,056 pieces and a price of $349.99. Eerie, spooky and creepy all feel like they’re not quite the right word to describe just how ominous this build is. Blanketed in darkness with few splashes of colour, the mansion is truly one of the most haunted houses to ever be built. And while a glance at the roster of 14 characters might make it seem like the mansion’s owner isn’t home, a trip to the basement reveals he’s very much alive, and looking for a snack…

If you’re interested in purchasing any of the BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 sets, preorders will go live on June 10, 2025, at 4pm BST / 11am EST, with a limit of two of each set per customer. Sets that clear the 3,000 order minimum will then ship later this year, currently estimated as October.
