How to move LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series 75419 Death Star safely

When you have a 9,023 piece LEGO set that cost you a pretty penny, it’s essential to move it in the correct way – so Design Manager César Soares demonstrates how to safely lift Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series 75419 Death Star.

75419 Death Star is the new LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) set that is now live on LEGO.com ahead of its October 1 release. The Empire’s ultimate weapon is the largest set in the theme yet, with 9,023 elements and priced at £899.99 / $999.99.

Those who do buy and build this epic set need to know how to move it though. You’ll probably build it a table then have a shelf where you want to put it on display, so everyone can admire the many interior scenes and familiar characters from Star Wars: A New Hope and Return of the Jedi that it captures.

But when you do move it, there’s only one place to life it from – the bottom. If you lift it from anywhere other than the base, you could have bricks flying everywhere. In this short video, Design Manager César Soares shows exactly how you should hold and life the model so that it stays together and you don’t end up mimicking the end of one of the movies.
