With England about to play Italy in the Euro 2020 final at Wembley Stadium, LEGOLAND Windsor Resort has added LEGO recreations of some of the team’s stars to Miniland.
It’s just a couple of days until England have the opportunity for UEFA European Football Championship 2020 glory as the team goes up against Italy, and LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is showing support for the home team by adding LEGO versions of Gareth Southgate, Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling to Miniland.
Blocks magazine Issue 81 celebrates 25 years of LEGOLAND Windsor with previously untold stories from the original model making team that got the theme park ready for opening. To get the LEGO magazine for fans every month – at a discount and earlier than the shops – order a 12-month or 24-month subscription. Direct debit payment options are available too; to find out more get in touch via subs@silverbackpublishing.rocks.
Visitors to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort this weekend will spot the characters in Miniland alongside England and Italy flags built from 135 bricks. There are also three Sky Lions – a nod to the England team’s Three Lions nickname – in Miniland’s London, referencing both the team and the new MYTHICA land that recently opened at the theme park.
‘We are all thrilled to see England in the final this weekend and wanted to share our excitement with all our guests by creating these mini LEGO figures,’ says Chief Model Maker Paula Laughton. ‘We hope that they bring good luck to Gareth and his team for the final!’
