Each set includes a minifigure of the relevant driver. The two new sets follow the first helmets, 43014 Scuderia Ferrari HP Charles Leclerc Helmet and 43022 Scuderia Ferrari HP Lewis Hamilton Helmet, which launched in May.
“We worked closely with Lando and Oscar on creating their helmets for fans to build and display at home,” says LEGO F1 Creative Lead Daniel Meehan. “They had some great ideas, which we cannot wait for fans to discover when building the sets at home. Creating such organic shapes at this scale always presents us with exciting opportunities for exploring new building techniques and creative parts usage. We hope fans will enjoy building – perhaps as they cheer on the drivers!”
“Our partnership with the LEGO Group is rooted in a shared commitment to creativity, innovation and inspiring the next generation of fans, and this launch captures that perfectly,” says McLaren Racingn Chief Marketing Officer Louise McEwe.
“Seeing our drivers’ helmet designs reimagined through LEGO creativity, and then brought back onto the track at Monaco, is a powerful expression of what we can achieve together. It’s playful, it’s authentic, and it connects our heritage with new audiences in a way that feels both meaningful and relevant. We’ve built something truly special with the LEGO Group over the years, and this is another milestone that reflects the strength of that partnership and the ambition we share for what comes next.”
“With a partnership spanning over a decade, we’re excited to bring the power of LEGO creativity to the historic celebration of McLaren Racing’s 1000th Race,” says LEGO Chief Product & Marketing Officer Julia Goldin. “It’s been a true co-creation process, where our LEGO design team worked closely with the drivers and McLaren Racing to develop these special 1000th race LEGO helmet products. Now fans will be able to build the sets at home, creating a cool memento of racing history for display. We can’t wait to see the real helmets being worn this weekend by Lando and Oscar!”
