Custom Corner: Batman and Joker from The Animated Series

This week’s Custom Corner from Blocks, the LEGO magazine for fans, is taking a look at Batman and the Joker from Batman: The Animated Series.

Batman and the Joker are two of the most iconic DC characters, and two of the most commonly made figures on Instagram. These two minifigures from @dylanallthemost are unique, however, since they’re made in the style of the DC animated series. Batman features a cowl sculpt that’s less bulky than the LEGO Group’s official cowls, and has much thinner ears. The cape is also custom-made, painted a different colour on each side to create the illusion of shadows, and it looks stunning.

To get Blocks, the LEGO magazine for fans, every month – at a discount and earlier than the shops – order a 12-month or 24-month subscription. Direct debit payment options are available too; to find out more get in touch via subs@silverbackpublishing.rocks.

Like Batman, the Joker is shaded on the left side, and fully painted to recreate his look from Return of The Joker. The coattails are sculpted onto the torso, flowing more seamlessly than the LEGO Group’s cloth element that attaches at the waist. The hair is sculpted, as is the chin, and the face is a perfect recreation of his animated design, tying the whole figure together.

@dylanallthemost is an incredibly talented customiser, and although he hasn’t made many more figures in this style, it’s definitely worth following his account as there’s some great stuff on there.
