Celebrate 10 years of Blocks with the team at Skærbæk Fan Weekend

If you are going to be at Skærbæk Fan Weekend this year, please join us to celebrate 10 years of Blocks, the monthly LEGO magazine.

Skærbæk Fan Weekend is coming up soon and Blocks would like to invite anyone attending to join us at 4.00pm on Friday, September 27 for an informal gathering to celebrate 10 years of the monthly magazine for LEGO fans.

We’d love to celebrate with the AFOL community and you can join us on Friday at 4.00pm in a room called Bevægelsesrum in Skærbækcentret. We’ll be bringing a cake along and some drinks to celebrate with – but we have no clue how many people will attend, so do feel free to bring your own drinks! (Helpfully, there is a café on site.)

Blocks Editor Graham E. Hancock, author of LEGO Star Wars: The Force of Creativity, and Blocks Build Expert & Historian Daniel Konstanski, author of The Secret Life of LEGO Bricks will be there to talk all things brick related.

In 2014, Blocks first launched with a one-off special and then the first monthly magazine was published in October 2014. That makes 2024 the 10th birthday for the LEGO magazine, with Issue 120 marking a decade since the first monthly edition was published.

Upgrade your LEGO hobby! If you take out a subscription to Blocks, the monthly LEGO magazine, you’ll get each issue first and at a discount, plus other perks including a free digital subscription and the chance to win LEGO prizes every month.

As Blocks moves into its second decade, the team has worked on a complete overhaul of the magazine with all-new sections;

  • The Sort – the latest in the world of LEGO bricks. Find out what’s happening in the community, what new sets are out, everything in the gaming world, admire new builds and read expert opinion.
  • Reviews – the latest LEGO sets reviewed by a team that has built literally thousands of LEGO models between them. The most authoritative LEGO reviews out there.
  • Quick Build – small builds that you can build to spark your creativity or have something cool for your desk. Use the parts list to order the bricks, then follow simple steps to put the model together.
  • Retro – look back on classic sets from yesteryear as Blocks turns back to the clock to admire vintage models from Castle, Space, Pirates, Adventurers, Aquazone, Rock Raiders, Western… any theme that makes you remember the good old days.
  • Build & Chat – Blocks magazine’s editor sits down with a LEGO creative professional and goes deep. They discuss their creativity, education and what their work with LEGO bricks is actually like day to day.

Plus, of course, exclusive features every month taking you deeper into the LEGO hobby than any other outlet.
