BRIT Awards get LEGO brick version in Manchester

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester is holding its own BRIT Awards in Miniland, with minifigure versions of all the high-profile guests.

The BRIT Awards — Britain’s largest music awards show — will soon arrive on February 28, and LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester is holding its own version of the award show for fans not able to make it to the real thing.

2026 marks the first time that the BRITs will be held outside of London, so when it was announced that Manchester would be the host, the local LEGOLAND Discovery Centre knew it had to celebrate with LEGO bricks.

“With the BRITs, or should we say, ‘The BRICKs,’ debuting in Manchester, we couldn’t resist giving some of this year’s nominees the full LEGO treatment,” said LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester Master Model Builder Jacob McPeake. “From tiny microphones to stylish mini outfits, every detail is a little nod to the music and creativity we all love. This felt like the perfect opportunity to let guests enjoy a miniature celebration of a huge moment for our city and we can’t wait to see visitors’ reactions to the display in MINILAND.”

The Discovery Centre’s version of the BRITs is a new Miniland area, adding a current slice of Manchester to the display. A brick-built sign declares the awards have arrived alongside a LEGO brick depiction of this year’s trophy.

A minifigure-sized red carpet rolls out along the display, and that’s where all of today’s biggest names in music can be found. Celebrity figures include this year’s host, Jack Whitehall, plus music icons like Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Lily Allen, Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter and Noel and Liam Gallagher. All of the minifigures were carefully crafted by Jacob McPeake, who made sure he got hair styles and stage outfits just right.

In addition to the sign and red carpet, there’s also a much larger recreation of the trophy (inspired by Manchester’s famous worker bee) that’s built from more than 30,000 pieces and lights up, sitting in front of a silhouetted B.

The LEGO brick version of the awards show joins a host of other activities available at the Discovery Centre, from the rest of Miniland to LEGO Creative Academy sessions (open until March 1) where guests can learn building skills from the builders behind the BRIT Awards models.
