Blocks magazine Issue 120 arrives with The Nightmare Before Christmas cover feature

What’s this? What’s this? There are LEGO bricks everywhere! Blocks, the monthly LEGO magazine, is launching the 120th issue with a The Nightmare Before Christmas cover feature, plus exclusive interviews with Piece by Piece director Morgan Neville and LEGO Fortnite Design Manager Crystal Fontan inside.

A decade ago, the LEGO magazine for fans launched with a special one-off issue, which was then followed by the first monthly edition. To celebrate, new and renewing subscribers can get an exclusive, commemorative brick for a limited time along with a bunch of other free gifts that are perfect for LEGO fans.

Issue 120 is available worldwide as part of a subscription or a single issue now and will be in UK stores from October 3.

If you take out a 12 month print subscription this week, you’ll get a FREE limited edition Blocks anniversary brick and a FREE set of six exclusive Christmas cards. If you go bigger and take out a 24 month subscription, you’ll also get a FREE poster and a FREE copy of 100 Incredible LEGO Builds, a special one-off magazine packed with build inspiration.

Anyone who wishes to take advantage of the deal can renew their subscription early.

That’s not all though – we’re celebrating the launch of Fortnite sets by giving away 77073 Battle Bus! To be in with a chance of winning, take out a subscription before November 6, 2024. You’ll be entered into a new draw every month for the duration of your subscription.

LEGO Ideas 21351 Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is a haunting new model that captures the whimsy and charm of the movie, so fan designer Simon Scott, Senior Model Designer Cesar Soares and Model Designer Laura Perron discuss how they recreated Jack Skellington’s lopsided world with the System.

Then, Morgan Neville explains how he brought the life of Pharrell Williams to the screen using millions of digital LEGO elements. Piece by Piece is an animated biopic that tells the story of the phenomenally successful artist and producer who has had some of the most epic collaborations in music history.

LEGO Fortnite is now not just a video game experience but also a physical model experience, so Blocks provides steps for an exclusive build – a very swooshable version of the Battle Bus, the iconic vehicle that send players into the thick of the Battle Royale action. Elsewhere in the magazine, Designer Manager Crystal Fontan explains how she worked with Epic Games to find the right interpretation of iconic Fortnite characters as charming minifigures.

To mark the 10th anniversary of the LEGO magazine for fans, the team behind the mag pick out their 10 favourite sets from the past 10 years. In This LEGO Life, Daniel reflects on his magical journey with his enormous Hogwarts Castle as it enjoys its final convention appearance. Reviews takes a look at 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 to see if it’s The Legend of Zelda set that gamers have been dreaming of.

There’s plenty more besides in this month’s 116-page magazine, including how to build gravestones in time for Halloween, the top 10 LEGO spiders, how City is levelling up, the LEGOLAND Billund marching band and much, much more.

Blocks is giving away 77073 Battle Bus! To be entered into the prize draw and to get Blocks magazine delivered every month – ahead of the shops – check out the money-saving subscription deals available.
