The LEGO parts you need to build a mini Executor Star Destroyer

Few vessels make an entrance quite like the Executor. In Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Darth Vader’s flagship casts a shadow over the enormous Imperial Star Destroyers, demonstrating how the Dark Lord likes to intimidate his enemies and his underlings.

With 75457 Executor Super Star Destroyer bringing the vessel back to the Ultimate Collector Series and a smaller display version (75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer) having explored the middle ground, this build takes a different approach to the giant flagship. The aim is a miniature that can occupy the corner of a desk while retaining the long, pointed silhouette that gives the ship its distinctive look.

That silhouette is the central building challenge. Star Destroyers are defined by wedges, but combining LEGO elements into a convincing triangular hull can leave awkward gaps or abrupt changes in angle. The Executor makes that problem particularly noticeable because its outline is so elongated.
