The LEGO Group has opened a new distribution centre in Vietnam as the company continues to focus on the Asia Pacific market.
Kuehne+Nagel and the LEGO Group have opened a new regional distribution centre in Dong Nai, Vietnam to act as the distribution hub for products at the LEGO Group’s factory in Ho Chi Minh City, which opened in April this year. It’s part of the company’s effort to gain a stronger foothold within the Asia Pacific and South East Asian toy markets.
This new distribution centre will supply products to Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan. It also aims to add the Indian and Indonesian markets to that list in 2026. Long time global partner, Kuehne+Nagel, will then manage logistics operations on site, as well as transportation throughout these regions, customs clearances, sea freight, and local distribution throughout Vietnam.

“Our new regional distribution centre in Dong Nai will play a critical role in supporting long-term growth in the region by creating a shorter and more agile supply chain,” says LEGO Vice President APAC-China Supply Chain Operations P. Venkatram. “We’re grateful for our continued partnership with Kuehne+Nagel, whose strong logistics expertise helps us to bring learning through play to millions of children across the region.”
The facility is equipped with bonded storage, specialised packing and value-added services. Once complete and fully operational in 2026, it will process more than 150 containers per week. Additionally, the distribution centre features solar panels and smart energy meters to help reduce emissions. It marks the LEGO Group’s second distribution centre within Asia Pacific, joining the existing one in Shanghai, China.
“Our partnership with the LEGO Group reflects a shared commitment to operational excellence and long-term sustainability,” adds LEGO Managing Director of Kuehne+Nagel Vietnam Bjoern Traemann. “Beyond managing fulfilment operations, we actively support their broader sustainability goals. This includes the use of sustainable marine fuel for all global container shipments and the deployment of electric vehicles for last-mile deliveries. We are proud to be part of a supply chain that is built for the future.”

The opening of this regional distribution centre follows the LEGO Group opening a factory in the region, which aims to bring more LEGO sets to fans in the Asia-Pacific region through increased manufacturing capacity. It’s currently a market that the LEGO Group are investing in heavily to try and gain a stronger footing, having launched specific products focusing on Lunar New Year and Monkie Kid as a specific theme targeting consumers in the region.
