Nathan Sawaya’s Art of the Brick LEGO exhibition returns to London

LEGO Certified Professional and Brick Artist Nathan Sawaya is bringing his incredible collection of LEGO art back to London, UK, for a 10-week run.

Nathan Sawaya is known as the Brick Artist and is one of a handful of LEGO Certified Professionals who do amazing things with the brick. For 17 years, he has been touring Art of the Brick, an exhibition that elevated the LEGO System in Play to an artistic medium and demonstrates its potential.

It will be back in London, UK, for the first time in a decade at the Boiler House on Brick Lane from March 6. There will be more than 100 works of art made from more than 1 million LEGO bricks for visitors to admire.

The collection includes many sculptures alongside re-imagined versions of some of the world’s most famous art masterpieces, such as Michelangelo’s David, Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. Two new galleries will be added to the exhibition – Kinetic Skulls and a collection of unique LEGO photography produced alongside award-winning photographer Dean West.

‘London holds a special place in my heart and I’m very excited to be bringing the Art of the Brick back to Brick Lane after almost 10 years,’ says Nathan. ‘I was touched by how many people connected with my art in 2014 and I hope to rekindle the magic I felt here 10 years ago and share the art with a city that never ceases to amaze me.’

Tickets to Art of the Brick are available now.
