Jack is back in the brick! 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship is setting sail in LEGO Icons, a detailed minifigure scale replica of the Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean.
Following the launch of LEGO ONE PIECE and the Straw Hat Pirates, LEGO Icons is delivering pirate adventure and bringing The Black Pearl back to the brick. 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship will be released on September 12 and is made up of 2,862 pieces. It will be priced at £299.99 / $379.99 / €349.99.
The ship was last sighted in 2011, when 4184 The Black Pearl was part of a dedicated Pirates of the Caribbean theme. It has been nigh uncatchable ever since, so this new, much larger edition, is a chance for fans to craft one of cinema’s most iconic vessels.
The Black Pearl is Jack Sparrow’s ship, which sometimes falls under the captaincy of Hector Barbossa. It is the fastest ship on the ocean and as the Pirates of the Caribbean films begin, its crew are damned until they can return the Aztec gold they looted.

10365 Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship is a significant model, measuring 64cm (25in) tall and 64cm (25in) long. Naturally, the huge black sails are part of what gives it an intimidating size, but the bulk of the ship is significant too, which seems to be mainly brick built, with few large, moulded pieces apparent.
There is interior detail too – a lower deck area contains a space to hide treasure and there’s a cabin where Barbossa can make his terrifying transformation. It seems though that the cannons are merely decorative, so there’ll be no reliving a misspent childhood pinging round bricks across the room. Functions include a dial to deploy the port or starboard cannons, the ship wheel can steer the rudder and the rowing boat is detachable.
A crew of eight LEGO characters can sail the ship – Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Gibbs, Cotton, Anamaria, Marty, Elizabeth Swann and Hector Barbossa. Fans will be keen to see how Jack Sparrow’s unique hair and hat combo element has changed in a decade or so.
There are two display options; you build a stand, as with 21356 River Steamboat and 10335 The Endurance, for the ship to sit on, but the bottom can also be removed so that it looks as if it is sailing on the ocean.
