LEGO Party! gets new minifigures and more Golden Bricks

LEGO Party! has received a new update, adding new versions of minigames and more characters for players to choose from.

The latest update for LEGO Party! expands the game’s potential for friendly fun, including updates to minigames and the character roster.

LEGO Party! is a party-style video game akin to the popular Mario Party series, released by the LEGO Group, Fictions and developer SMG Studio last year. The game is designed for up to four players to compete in 60 minigames across a variety of Challenge Zones themed around popular LEGO franchises like NINJAGO and Space.

Like most LEGO games, Golden Bricks are a big part of the game’s design, with players earning them for winning minigames. And this new update gives players a new way to collect the coveted bricks via Bonus Bricks.

Bonus Bricks are an optional addition that get placed at the end of Challenge Zones. This is done through a Bonus Brick Zone where players can vote on who gets extra Golden Bricks at the end of the Zone.

Other additions in the update are a bit more competitive — new 2v2 versions of minigames have been added. Brick Battles and Minigame Rush now have 2v2 versions of Graffeeti, Slide Hustle, Feeling Golfy and Saurcerlord. This is a change befitting the game’s fun, friendly vibe, and one that encourages new ways of playing existing challenges.

And once a minigame is over, players can now have their minifigure characters dance around and interact with the environment on the Minigame Results screen.

Over 15 new minifigures have been added to the Wardrobe as well, including the full roster of Classic Astronauts and the Alien Commander. More minifigures are always welcome, so this is a great part of the update.

And lastly, Brazilian Portuguese has been added as a text-only language in the game.
