After Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. headlined the Avengers: Doomsday tease in Hall H at San Diego Comic Con, the LEGO Group revealed sets including 76345 Doctor Doom Bust and 76352 Avengers: Doomsday New Avengers Tower.
The LEGO Group has revealed five new sets inspired by Avengers: Doomsday following an epic Marvel presentation in Hall H at San Diego Comic Con. The film will arrive in cinemas on December 18.
“Decisions will have to be made,” Robert Downey Jr., who will be playing Doctor Doom, warned the audience. “Perhaps you’re on the side of the good guys, or perhaps you’ll have to consider the alternative.”
One set will launch on September 1 – 76345 Doctor Doom Bust. The other four will launch on October 4 – 40880 Avengers: Doomsday Heroes & Villain, 76347 Avengers: Doomsday Quinjet, 76352 Avengers: Doomsday New Avengers Tower and 76348 Epic Battle: Avengers: Doomsday.

76345 Doctor Doom Bust

This moderately sized bust model captures the Marvel Cinematic Universe visualisation of Doctor Doom. The neck and jaw can be posed, the hood and cape use foil components, and decorated parts depict the eyes. 76345 Doctor Doom Bust includes a minifigure of the character – the first place fans will be able to get one, as this model releases earlier than the rest, on September 1. The bust is similar in style to 76356 Venom Bust.

76347 Avengers: Doomsday Quinjet

A new Marvel Avengers movie means new takes on classic vehicles, so this LEGO ship depicts the way the vehicle will appear in Doomsday. It features stud shooters at the front, an opening cockpit and opening panels for interior access. The set includes four minifigures that demonstrate the different super teams that are going to come together – Cyclops, The Thing and Captain America, plus the villainous Doctor Doom.
76348 Epic Battle: Avengers: Doomsday

76348 Epic Battle: Avengers: Doomsday focuses on a Sentinel, a set that is designed to be both played with and displayed. The enormous robot is fully articulated, right down to the fingers, so fans can imagine epic battle moments from the upcoming movie. It has an additional head so you can depict different mutations. Transparent elements allow the various minifigures to be displayed in mid attack – Doctor Doom, Magneto, Thor, Nightcrawler, Mystique and Mister Fantastic come in the set.
76352 Avengers: Doomsday New Avengers Tower

The new Avengers headquarters is represented in 76352 Avengers: Doomsday New Avengers Tower, with four interior floors and an exterior that captures the look of the newly renovated location. The model has an open back for easy access, where there is a laboratory, a concealed detention facility, Sentry’s bean bag and milkshake, a control room with console, a reception area, security gate and rubbish bin where Black Panther’s claw, Thor’s Stormbreaker and Mjölnir have been discarded. The builds includes minifigures of Doctor Doom, Yelena, Red Guardian, Bucky Barnes, Human Torch and Sentry.
40880 Avengers: Doomsday Heroes & Villain

The obligatory BrickHeadz set is 40880 Avengers: Doomsday Heroes & Villain, which builds four iconic characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Gambit (who was introduced in Deadpool & Wolverine), Thor, The Thing and Doctor Doom. Each has character-specific accessories and represents the character in the stylised blocky way that BrickHeadz is known for.
At the end of the Marvel SDCC panel, Ryan Reynolds appeared in costume as Deadpool to request the character’s inclusion in Avengers: Doomsday – so perhaps there’ll be a minifigure of the Merc with a Mouth in an upcoming wave of Doomsday sets…
