LEGO Formula 1 is taking over Battersea Power Station in London on July 6, 2025 with a host of fun activities and events.
Apparently not satisfied with there already being a LEGO Store in Battersea Power Station, the LEGO Group is going to take over the recently restored complex with its Build the Thrill event in support of the British Grand Prix taking place the same day.
The event will be well stocked with all sorts of LEGO brick themed activities, including a make and take station for guests try their hand at some LEGO building, while also allowing them to take their builds home with them — always a nice touch with these types of building stations.
A life-sized McLaren Formula 1 car will also be in attendance. The LEGO Group and McLaren are no strangers to creating life-sized, brick-built versions of McLaren cars, having done so with the McLaren P1 last year and the McLaren F1 racer as part of a group of 10 Formula 1 cars built for the Miami Grand Prix Driver’s Parade. The McLaren car from that event is now getting itself a bit of a world tour, joining the fun of the British Grand Prix.
Upgrade your LEGO hobby! If you take out a subscription to Blocks, the monthly LEGO magazine, you’ll get each issue first and at a discount, plus other perks including a free digital subscription and the chance to win LEGO prizes every month.

And for fans of Formula 1 beyond the brick, there are set to be plenty of attractions on offer as well. Reaction time challenges, immersive F1 experiences and a photo-op podium are just some of the ways fans will be able to interact with the world of Formula 1.
The centrepiece of it all (aside from a life-sized LEGO car) will be the British Grand Prix streaming on the big screen in Power Station Park, so fans won’t have to miss out on watching the race to take part in the LEGO Group’s event.
The LEGO Formula 1 sets will of course be on sale as well, available in the Battersea Power Station LEGO Store. There’s also scheduled to be an ‘exclusive surprise’ at the event that will only be revealed once things kick off.
The event at Battersea Power Station is the latest part of the collaboration between the LEGO Group and Formula 1 to help celebrate the racing phenomenon’s 75th anniversary season. The collaboration has produced a wide range of LEGO sets — from Speed Champions and Icons to a blind box series — life-sized LEGO cars taking a spin around the track and events such as this.
With the 75th anniversary season in full swing, there’s sure to be more to come out of the LEGO Group and Formula 1’s partnership – stay tuned to Blocks online and in print to keep up to date with all the latest LEGO news.
