LEGO Disney reveals 43277 Cruella De Vil’s Car

LEGO Disney has announced a new set based on the classic 1961 animated movie 101 Dalmatians, 43277 Cruella De Vil’s Car.

A new set in the LEGO Disney theme includes an appealing minifigure and is at a reasonable size. Due to release on September 1, 2025, 43277 Cruella De Vil’s Car will contain 378 pieces and be priced at £44.99 / $49.99 / €49.99.

43277 Cruella De Vil’s Car is the second trip into the world of 101 Dalmatians for LEGO Disney this year — 43269 101 Dalmatians Puppy released on June 1, though that set is an 18+ display piece, whereas 43277 Cruella De Vil’s Car is targeted at builders 9+ and comes at a more affordable price for builders young and old.

This is the second appearance in minifigure form for the infamous Cruella De Vil; she first appeared in 71038 Disney 100, the Collectible Minifigures series that celebrates 100 years of Disney in 2023. The torso and leg printing on the new figure appear to be the same as the Collectible Minifigures version, though she does get a new face print to qualify her as an exclusive variant. It is worth noting that the cloth piece included with the Collectible Minifigures Cruella is absent from the one in 43277 Cruella De Vil’s Car, so the new figure is dressed down a bit from the original.

The set itself appears to make great use of its 378 pieces, creating a car that’s both accessible for the set’s 9+ audience and displayable alongside more complicated LEGO Icons builds targeted at adult fans. Some large elements are used around the wheels to help capture the car’s extreme shaping, and the angled headlights add a satisfying angry look.

Cruella and the included Dalmatian puppy can fit comfortably inside, and the removable roof makes getting them in much easier than if you had to rely on the tiny doors. They do add a nice touch of detail but remain as functionally useless as ever.

What’s not useless is the spare tire on the back — it’s not a rubber tire element, so it can’t actually be employed in some thrilling side-of-the-road car maintenance, but it has a secret use. The spare tire is connected via LEGO Technic elements to the front wheels, allowing the car to steer in a way that should allow the wheels to realistically turn as you drive it along.

Beyond the car’s functional steering and snazzy profile, there’s not too much else to be found with the set. But for a set named Cruella De Vil’s Car, there’s nothing more to realistically ask for. And fans of the character should find plenty to enjoy here.
