This is basically the cutest LEGO dragon ever. It’s made incredibly charismatic through big eyes and expressive eyebrows. Pale yellow tiles create a smooth underbelly and contrast really nicely with the red bricks. There’s a bunch of ball joints to pose the head, wings, and all the legs. Interestingly this dragon has only tiny claws, with feet that are more paw-like, really reminiscent in design of Toothless. Altogether they just make this main build a super cute dragon to display anywhere.

Then there’s the fish and parrot. While both of these builds use fewer pieces than the hero model, they’re still pretty detailed. The parrot makes great use of the numerous curved arches to form a flamboyant tail, which also work as the dorsal fin for the fish. Various tiles suggest the different patterns on these animals, and they really use the bright colour palette to their advantage.

31145 may be a small set but it packs a colourful punch of animals that are cute yet still instantly recognisable.
SCORE: 67/100
VERDICT: A dragon that’s perfectly palm-sized is joined by some colourful friends and all three are quick, enjoyable builds.
