LEGO 40768 Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod unveiled as bonus freebie

40768 Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod is an upcoming minifigure scale set that will be free with 10356 Star Trek Enterprise.

LEGO Icons 10356 Star Trek Enterprise is coming on November 28 and over the Black Friday weekend, fans will be able to get 40768 Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod free with it.

Inspired by Star Trek: The Next Generation, 40768 Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod is 261 pieces and includes a minifigure of Ensign Ro Laren. It is free at LEGO.com from November 28 when you buy 10356 Star Trek Enterprise, for a limited time.

The shuttlepod features opening wing doors and a rear hatch that reveals a detailed interior. Inside, builders will find a depiction of an LCARS system display, complete with Stardate 45076.3 and a schematic of a Romulan spacecraft, referencing classic moments from the series. Exterior details include the vehicle name “Onizuka,” honouring the legacy of space exploration both on-screen and in real life.

To complete the display, the set includes an Ensign Ro Laren minifigure, who complements the characters included in 10356 Star Trek Enterprise.

40768 Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod is the first minifigure scale set based on the sci-fi franchise, as the larger Icons set is a display model (it does include a crew of minifigures to display alongside it though, including Captain Picard).
