At Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, the LEGO Star Wars team revealed that the next animated special coming to Disney+ is going to take viewers on a galactic summer vacation. Set after the events of Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, it’s going to follow Rose, Finn, and the rest of the gang as they try to relax after defeating the Final Order.
As part of the LEGO CON reveals, fans got a first look at this special in a short teaser that proivdes a hint at the laughs and jokes ahead. Blocks, the LEGO magazine for fans, is counting down what would be great to see in LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation…
5. Aboard the Halcyon?

What is the Halcyon? The Halcyon is a recently introduced star cruiser, which first appeared in Mission to Disaster as part of the High Republic publishing programme, and is also part of Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World. It acts as a holiday destination for Star Wars characters across the saga and it will be amazing to see it in LEGO bricks.
4. Ben Solo flying the Falcon

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one, is a cameo from Ben Solo. It appears a younger version of the character is being portrayed before his fall to the dark side, chatting with R2-D2 and sporting an outfit similar to his dad. Fans were disappointed that the character’s incredible Solo flying skills were only limited to a TIE Fighter in the films, so hopefully he’ll get to pilot the Millennium Falcon in this special.
3. Lando’s summer style

Lando Calrissian knows how to dress for every occasion, and his style in Solo: A Star Wars story certainly suggests that the scoundrel has some Hawaiian shirts in his wardrobe. Colourful florals and bright neon colours would definitely work next to a cape, and may even make it into a minifigure in this year’s Advent Calendar…
2. Imperial surfing

A beach style Darth Vader minifigure has already been announced as one of the gifts in this year’s LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar and it will be hilarious to see what capers the Dark Lord of the Sith gets into. This level of craziness is something only the LEGO Group could think up, and it is something completely unexpected. Will Vader be surfing? Will the Emperor be surfing? What could possibly go wrong?
1. I don’t like sand…

If there’s a summer vacation then there’s got to be beaches and with beaches comes sand. Lots and lots of sand. And sandcastles. Whether he says it as Darth Vader or if Anakin makes an appearance, we’re crossing our lightsabers that there will be the inevitable ‘I don’t like sand’ gag.
LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation is getting a main trailer on June 21 and is debuting August 5, 2022 exclusively on Disney+. Let us know what you’re hoping for from a sunny side of the galaxy far, far away on the Blocks social media channels.
