25 years of LEGO Star Wars in Blocks magazine Issue 115

It’s the 25th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars and Blocks magazine Issue 115 is celebrating the milestone.

To mark 25 years of LEGO Star Wars, Blocks is going deep into the LEGO Group’s longest running licensed theme. In Issue 115, Design Master Henrik Andersen talks about going back to an old design to create Ultimate Collector Series 75382 TIE Interceptor, Matt Denton reveals how he upscaled 75370 Stormtrooper Mech and the story of LEGO Star Wars is told through 25 sets.

Issue 115 is available worldwide as part of a subscription or a single issue now and will be in UK stores from May 2.

To celebrate May the Fourth, anyone taking out a 12 or 24 month print subscription will get a FREE exclusive LEGO Star Wars poster and FREE back issues. Order before the end of May 6 to get the deal!

We’re giving away 75382 TIE Interceptor! To be in with a chance of winning, take out a subscription before June 5, 2024. You’ll be entered into a new draw every month for the duration of your subscription!

Back in 1999, the LEGO Group and Lucasfilm teamed up for the first time to bring a galaxy far, far away to the world of the LEGO brick. Blocks is telling the story of that collaboration through 25 sets, each of which reveals something about the incredible journey that this beloved theme has been on.

In an exclusive interview, Design Master Henrik Andersen explains how he revisited the TIE Interceptor in the Ultimate Collector Series for the first time since he designed the original 24 years ago. 3D printing guru Matt Denton discusses his amazing upscaled Stormtrooper mech project and LEGO Certified Professional Nathan Sawaya looks back at his most unorthodox Star Wars builds.

There’s more though – a top 10 countdown of the best dark side minifigures, a special build project that upgrades 75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack, a tease for the new book LEGO Star Wars: The Force of Creativity and reviews of the latest sets.

Beyond Star Wars, there’s the second part of our Modulex feature, showing how the tiny bricks differ from standard LEGO elements, instructions for building the Batmobile from Batman: The Animated Series and an inside look at how the LEGO Group’s assembly lines bag elements for sets.

This month’s 116-page edition also includes a look at amazing dragon builds, commentary on whether mechs were better back in the day, Harry Potter reviews and much, much more.

Everyone who subscribes to the print edition by June 5 will be in with a chance of winning 75382 TIE Interceptor (existing subscribers will automatically be entered into the prize draw).

Everyone who subscribes to the print edition by 8.00am UK time, May 7, will be eligible for the May the Fourth promotion unless stock runs out earlier. Full details at blocksmag.com.
