New LEGO Jurassic World, Jurassic Park and The Lost World sets announced

A range of new LEGO Jurassic World sets are on the way, with a mix of new moulded dinosaurs and buildable creatures to construct.

There are new Jurassic World sets – inspired by movies throughout the franchise – coming this summer. The majority will launch on August 1: 77981 Velociraptor, Stegosaurus & Pteranodon Rescue, 77982 Spinosaurus Dinosaur Escape, 77983 Mosasaurus Dinosaur Boat Attack, 77978 Young T. rex Transport Truck and 77977 Baby Dinosaur: Pteranodon.

77985 Dinosaur Fossils: Triceratops will debut on June 1 and 77984 Jurassic Park Jeep Wrangler is coming even sooner, on May 7.

77983 Mosasaurus Dinosaur Boat Attack

Pieces: 703
Price: £89.99 / $99.99 €99.99
Release date: August 1

While the Spinosaurus was previously moulded and is now being delivered as a buildable creature, 77983 Mosasaurus Dinosaur Boat Attack takes the same concept as last year’s 76974 Brick-Built Mosasaurus Boat Mission but includes a moulded version of the enormous aquatic beastie. The set is inspired by Jurassic World: Rebirth.

77978 Young T. rex Transport Truck

Pieces: 115
Price: £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99
Release date: August 1

Who would have guessed that the set inspired by The Lost World: Jurassic Park would target 4-year-olds? Dr. Sarah Harding (Julianne Moore) finally makes her minifigure debut alongside Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum). In a cartoony way, the set replicates the way the characters must lure the T.rex at the end of the 1997 movie.

77977 Baby Dinosaur: Pteranodon

Pieces: 373
Price: £19.99 / $24.99 / €24.99
Release date: August 1

The LEGO Group has offered baby dinosaurs for younger builders over the past few years and this flying critter comes with a buildable snack.

There are also more details for the previously announced 18+:

77985 Dinosaur Fossils: Triceratops

Pieces: 1,154

Price: £89.99 / $109.99 / €99.99

Following last year’s 76968 Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus rex, 77985 Dinosaur Fossils: Triceratops adds another skeleton to the collection. It features a movable head, legs and tail, plus an opening jaw. Fans of Jurassic Park can finally add Dr. Gerry Harding minifigure to their collection, as he comes in the set and has a space on the display base.
