LEGOLAND Windsor Resort opens Minifigure Speedway Coaster

An epic new attraction is opening at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort tomorrow – a unique racing rollercoaster called the Minifigure Speedway Coaster.

Inspired by speedway circuits, the Minifigure Speedway Coaster is a brand new attraction at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort and will be hard to miss – the ride’s icon is a 30 foot tall minifigure called Roxie!

The team at LEGOLAND have been oiling up the Team Legends and Team Allstars cars to send them on their final test rides. The £10 million attraction is the first LEGO duelling rollercoaster and reaches speeds of up to 56km/h as riders make their way around the dynamic dual-track layout.

Popular minifigures including Corn Cob Guy, Hot Dog Man and Bumblebee Girl are featured in the ride that sees two race teams going head-to-head, forwards and backwards around the track. At the end of every ride there’s a winning team.

‘It’s almost race day here at LEGOLAND Windsor and the whole team is so excited to wave the checkered flag for the first riders,’ says LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Divisional Director Helen Bull. ‘From coaster testing to polishing the wheels of the Team Legends and Team Allstars cars, the team have been busy getting everything ready as we prepare to welcome guests to the starting line. We can’t wait to see the new coaster in action as riders race to become Minifigure Speedway champions!’

Riders must be 1.05 metres or taller to experience the new coaster. LEGOLAND Windsor Resort opened for 2024 on March 29, while LEGOLAND Adventure Golf is open all year round.
