Who is Jedi Bob?

When Design Manager Lauge Drewes was designing LEGO Star Wars minifigures for the 2002 Star Wars: Attack of the Clones sets, he created an unnamed, generic bearded Jedi for 7163 Republic Gunship. The intention was that he represented a random Force-wielder from the Geonosis battle.

Fans took the character to their hearts their and affectionately called him ‘Jedi Bob’. The name really stuck when Simon Beecroft wrote 2009’s LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary and officially have the character that moniker.

Jedi Bob has been fondly remembered by LEGO Star Wars fans through the years, but it turns out their love of the character has been noticed. He’s back in a new set – 75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter. That set is inspired by the new animated specials that will air on Disney+, LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy.

What is LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy?

There are three sets based on the specials available to buy; 75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter, 75393 TIE Fighter & X-wing Mash-up and 75389 The Dark Falcon.
