The LEGO Group has unveiled its latest LEGO Creator Expert modular building, in the form of 10270 Bookshop.
It’s the first modular building to pair two 16×32 buildings since 2011’s 10218 Pet Shop, with a teal townhouse adjoining the quaint three-storey bookshop. While the past couple of buildings have drawn on distinctly American architecture, 10270 marks a return to European influences, with Design Master Wes Talbott looking to Dutch houses for inspiration.
Once complete, the latest addition to the long-running subtheme measures 29cm high, 25cm wide and 25cm deep. It’s packed with features across both buildings, including plenty of books (natch), multiple residential spaces, two balconies, a chameleon habitat, and a hidden basement. At street-level, you’ll find a wonderfully autumnal birch tree looming over the scene.
You can check out the official description and gallery of images for 10270 Bookshop below. It’s available to order now from LEGO.com for £149.99/$179.99/€159.99. Recreate the charm of a backstreet bookshop that you might discover in any European village or town with this LEGO Creator Expert collectors’ toy. The 3-story bookshop and adjoining modular town house building is filled with fun building techniques and surprising details, including a display window, reading nook and an open-out design. Collectors will love to display this big 2,504-piece LEGO set proudly alongside their other modular building.
