During the climax of The LEGO Movie, Emmet realises his creative potential and returns to Bricksburg in need of a vehicle. With the minions of Lord Business gluing everyone and everything in place, it’s time for this everyday hero to fight back with his Master Builder skills.
Using parts from construction vehicles and the street he crashes into, Emmet proceeds to build a massive mech that the LEGO Group launched in 2014 as 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech. In recent years, smaller mechs in NINJAGO, Super Heroes – and now even Star Wars – have become regular releases. Those mechs inspired this reimagining Emmet’s off-kilter vehicle at a smaller scale than the original set.
